Classfold for play schools
A preschool keeps children, not students — and now the software agrees.
Pick Play school or Preschool when your centre is created and the console changes its language: Children in Groups, Activities instead of Subjects, Sessions instead of Periods, Observations and Progress reports instead of Exams and Results. Exams, library and hostel never appear, because a preschool has no use for them.
A console sized for a centre, not a high school
The institute type decides which modules open. A play school starts with admissions, attendance, fees, transport, visitors, staff and payroll, inventory and messaging — and without exams, library or hostel. A centre head can switch any module on or off later; nothing is hidden permanently.
- Child, Group, Activity, Session, Observation, Centre head
- No exams, library or hostel cluttering the menu
- Any term overridable for your own centre
Admissions and fees for a small office
The admission record carries the child's details, the guardians and the consents you collect at the gate. Fees run on the same engine the schools use: instalments, concessions, one ledger across counter cash, UPI and online payment, and numbered receipts issued at the desk.
- Admission record with guardian details and consents
- Instalments and concessions per child or per group
- Defaulter list in one click, reminders over WhatsApp, SMS and email
The van, the gate and the staff
Transport is on by default: routes, stops and which children are on which vehicle. The visitor register records who came to the centre and when. Staff records and payroll cover your teachers and helpers, with a permission map that decides who can see fee records and who cannot.
- Transport routes and stops, with children assigned
- Visitor register for anyone entering the centre
- Per-module staff permissions — view, create, edit, delete, export
What Classfold does not do for a play school
This is the honest part, and it matters more here than for any other type. There is no daily activity, meal or nap log. There is no timed check-in and check-out, and no authorised-pickup list — attendance is a present-or-absent mark against a group, not a record of who collected a child at 4:15. There is no allergy, immunisation or incident record, no developmental-milestone tracking, and no hourly or session-based daycare billing. Parents do not log in: everything they receive comes over WhatsApp, SMS or email in your centre's name.
- No daily activity, meal, nap or incident logs
- No timed check-in/check-out or authorised-pickup list
- No milestone tracking and no hourly daycare billing

Frequently asked questions
Does Classfold send parents a daily report of what their child did?
No. There is no daily activity, meal or nap log to send, and no parent login. You can message families notices and reminders over WhatsApp, SMS and email under your centre's name, but a per-child daily timeline is not something Classfold records today.
Can we record who collected a child?
Not as a pick-up record. Attendance is a present-or-absent mark against the group, and the visitor register records people entering the centre — neither is a timed check-out tied to an authorised collector. If that is your main need, say so on the demo call rather than buying for it.
Do we get exams and report cards?
The exam module is off for a play school. The vocabulary calls assessments Observations and results Progress reports, but these are the generic record formats, not a developmental framework.
What about allergies and immunisations?
There is no structured allergy, immunisation or medical record. The admission record holds the details you type into it, which is not the same thing and should not be relied on as a health record.
What does it cost for a small centre?
STARTER at ₹180/month covers up to 90 children and BASIC ₹599/month up to 300. The institute type does not change the price.
