Play schools × admissions

Play school admissions, in your own words

A play school's admissions season is short, local and almost entirely a conversation. Parents visit before they decide, they ask about safety and routine rather than results, and the enquiry you lose is the one somebody promised to call back. This page is about not losing those, and about the vocabulary — Children and Groups, not Students and Classes — the screens should be using while you do it.

Your words, on every screen

Software that calls a three-year-old a Student and a playgroup a Class Section reads as borrowed, and it is the first thing a visiting parent notices over a staff member's shoulder. Classfold records the institute type and the type changes the vocabulary across the screens, so a play school runs on Children, Groups and Activities.

  • Children rather than Students, Groups rather than Class Sections
  • Set once, from the institute type, rather than renamed per screen
  • Consistent across the console, the forms and the documents you print
  • Admission form fields in the language a parent is answering in

The enquiry becomes a record immediately

Play school enquiries arrive by phone and by walk-in, at the gate, during a session. An enquiry that lives as a missed call in somebody's phone is already lost, and in a season of a few hundred that is the whole difference.

  • Name, one number and what they asked — enough to create the record
  • The source, so you learn which hoarding or referral actually works
  • A named owner from the moment it exists
  • A next action with a date, because a record without one is a lost enquiry
  • A weekly sweep of enquiries with no next action

Collect the documents while the parent is standing there

Every document chased after the family leaves costs several calls, and for a play school admission most of them are documents the parent brought with them anyway.

  • Birth certificate verified against the original at the counter
  • Photograph at the aspect ratio your ID cards need
  • Emergency contacts, authorised pick-up names and the transport route
  • Immunisation and allergy notes, if your policy records them
  • Spelling and date of birth checked once, against the document
  • A signed fee structure acknowledgement, so instalment dates are not a surprise

Honest about what a play school does not get

Classfold does not have a daily activity, meal or nap log, and there is no parent login for a family to check one in. What it does have is admissions, fees, attendance, transport, staff records and messaging — the office half of a play school, handled properly. Families hear from you over WhatsApp, SMS and email in your own name.

  • Works today: enquiries, admissions, documents, fees, attendance, transport, staff, messaging
  • Not built: a daily activity, meal or nap log
  • Not built, by decision: any parent login or parent app
  • Families are messaged rather than given an account to check

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

Does Classfold send parents a daily report of what their child did?

No. There is no daily activity, meal or nap log, and no parent login. You can message families notices, reminders and announcements over WhatsApp, SMS and email under your own name, which is what the platform does well.

Can we record authorised pick-up people?

Yes, as part of the child's record alongside emergency contacts, so the information is with the child rather than in a register at the gate.

Is it priced for a small play school?

The entry plan covers up to 90 learners at ₹180/month, published on the pricing page, with no implementation fee. A play school is the size the entry tier was drawn for.

Do families need an app for this?

No. Classfold has no parent app and no parent login — everything a family receives arrives over WhatsApp, SMS or email under your institute's own name, so there is nothing for them to install.

Can we start with just this and add the rest later?

Yes. Every plan includes the whole platform, so you can run one capability first and switch on the others when you are ready. Nothing has to be bought again.
